Welcome to my website! I’m an Analytic Scientist in Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company’s Enterprise Analytics Office, and I received my PhD in political science from Ohio State University. My academic research primarily focuses on the political economy of social protection in Latin America, and my methodological specializations include time series analysis, causal inference, machine learning, text analysis, as well as survey and mixed methods research. Using the navigation links above, you can learn more about my research, professional experience, and teaching; you can also view my resume and contact information.
I currently live in Columbus, Ohio, I’m originally from Mercersburg, Pennsylvania, and before attending Ohio State I completed my undergraduate studies at West Virginia University. Outside of my professional life, I have a variety of hobbies and interests. I enjoy cycling, cooking and baking, building computers, as well as poetry and fiction. I’ve also been a lifelong musician, performing throughout and beyond the Mid-Atlantic, with groups ranging from symphonies, to folk, bluegrass, and old-time bands.
